GIF and JPG

How can I put a GIF file into a post? I wanted to include a picture and I only had a choice of saving it as a GIF or a bitmap

So we do allow gif images as long as the file extension is "gif".
It is often easier to use the img tag with the src being equal to the image on the web. Using the file upload is a pain. Of course one still needs to manually change the post to "Full HTML".

You should be able upload a gif file. We do have size limits of 1 megabyte. If the file ends with GIF, it might not work since capitalization matters.
